SUBJECT: How to Keep Motivated after Physical and Mental Setbacks from Super Adventurer, Stefanie Bishop

I thought you might be interested in hearing about Stefanie Bishop, an Ultra Marathoner, Master Competitor and overall Super-Adventure Seeker known as an Ultra Endurance Athlete, that is really digging into new ways to stay motivated, fit and feel good after multiple set-backs and a lack of “official” achievement that she is used to during normal times.

Stef is super positive, motivating and a great example of determination, training and recovery importance in today’s physically and mentally complicated world.

Stef’s Brief Milestones of Achievements and Set-backs:

  • 2005–1st Triathlon and continued racing for next four years while working at Crowbar, a massive nightclub in NYC
  • 2008 — Bike Crash in Central Park — 3 weeks before Olympic Distance Trials — still competed with broken teeth!
  • 2010 — Female Champion twice of Peak Death Race (yes, that exists — part of SPARTAN) and went to work on Wall Street
  • 2014 — At a low point with sub-par racing results, decides to quit corporate America to re-focus
  • 2014 — Started obstacle course racing while switching to a small finance firm where they were supportive of her racing
  • 2015 — Completely commits to racing, contracts Lyme Disease, succumbs to hypothermia while racing Spartan Ultra Beast World Championship
  • 2016 — Win’s World’s Toughest Mudder — Female Champion (85 miles, 300+ obstacles)
  • 2017 — Attempted a never-done-before consecutive round of 46 Adirondack High Peaks (the snow was no match for her). Multiple injuries plagued her.
  • 2018 — Adobled Veganism and never looked back. Overcoming frustrations, depression and anxiety to run again and find confidence in her body.
  • 2019 — Despite a foot injury, took first place at the Wilderness Traverse AR
  • 2020 — Got COVID. Has asthma, so recovery was a big concern. Back to training! Tracking toward her goal of achieving FOUR Fastest Known Times (FKT’s) unsupported in the Northeast region and encouraging others to get outside and feel their best.

A Native New Yorker, a Vegan and natural product user. Stefanie is constantly utilizing her body to push herself and do what she loves everyday, which is run, hike, bike, swim, etc… for miles and hours EVERY DAY. Her body takes a beating and her muscles are often sore. The Feel Good Lab’s 100% natural pain relief cream is a part of her daily recovery.

The Feel Good Lab is a new-to-market all-natural pain relieving brand created by people fed up with today’s pain relief aisle. The Feel Good Lab is about feeling good and what gets you there. Their functional medicinal products are not just built for pain relief and recovery but for those who want to be active, outside and feel good. The Feel Good Lab is about wellness and getting to a better place in your life.

Stefanie and The Feel Good Lab are coming together with a shared goal of igniting the passion for the outdoors and being active in as many people as possible. Stef’s mind is an unmovable mountain of determination and her body is the vessel that will take her up that mountain and support her reaching the top. Recovery is key to keeping our bodies moving and Stef knows all about a comeback.

Could her training and recovery story be inspiring to your readers?
Would you like to cover her FKT attempt this September and the products she uses to keep going the distance?
